Jewellery comes in many metals, finishes and constructions. Not every item can be engraved safely or produce the same contrast. We check the piece and its engraving area before confirming a job.
- Stainless steel and titanium: suitable items can be assessed for laser engraving.
- Gold and silver: suitability depends on the alloy, thickness, finish and shape.
- Plated, coated or hollow pieces: additional care is needed; some items may not be suitable.
- Stone-set, delicate or valuable items: require individual assessment, and some may be declined.
We do not assume a particular engraving colour or finish. We will discuss the expected result and any limitations before proceeding.
DETAILS THAT AFFECT THE FINISH
Size, surface and position all matter.
Small items require careful planning. We consider the available engraving area, metal, existing finish and how the item can be safely positioned for the laser.
- Ring interiors: possible only when the width, diameter, profile and access are suitable.
- Curved surfaces: the usable engraving area may be smaller than it appears.
- Polished or plated finishes: engraving contrast varies and may alter the surface permanently.
- Watch backs: case construction and nearby components must allow safe engraving.
We provide an engraving service, not jewellery repairs, resizing, stone setting or watch servicing. If a piece needs disassembly or specialised handling, we may recommend a jeweller or watchmaker.

Yes! We assess the ring’s metal, width, shape, finish and available engraving area. Send photos of the complete ring and the area you want engraved before visiting.
Some rings can be engraved on the inside, but not all. The diameter, width, curve, material and access determine whether it is possible. We will confirm suitability before accepting the job.
Some gold and silver jewellery may be suitable. The exact alloy, construction, surface finish and available engraving area matter, particularly for fine or stone-set pieces. We assess each item individually.
Plating and coatings can be affected by laser engraving, sometimes exposing a different metal or colour beneath. We cannot promise a particular contrast or finish. We will assess the item and may decline unsuitable pieces.
Suitable watch case backs may be engraved when the surface and access allow it. We are not a watch-repair service, and some watches may need specialist handling that we do not provide.
The price depends on the material, size and shape of the piece, the wording or artwork, the setup required and the quantity. Send photos and exact details for a quote.
